Meet the Farmer

Jose Gomez – Second Generation Farmer

The Legacy Collection celebrates producers who have inherited their family farms and continue to honor generations of coffee-growing tradition. These coffees are the result of wisdom passed down through time — families that innovate while preserving the essence of their heritage. Each cup pays tribute to the passion, resilience, and dedication that keep Colombia’s coffee legacy alive.

A passionate second-generation coffee producer, José Ignacio Gómez is known for his dedication to excellence and innovation at Finca El Paraíso in Buesaco, Nariño. His coffee stands out for its exceptional quality, consistency, and unique flavor, born from years of experimentation and care. Beyond producing outstanding coffee, José uses his experience to give back to his community — creating spaces for learning, tasting, and collaboration that inspire local farmers to focus on specialty coffee and build a more sustainable future together.

José Ignacio Gómez is a keeper of high–mountain coffee. A second–generation producer, son of effort and soil, he has transformed Finca El Paraíso into a workshop of precision, sensitivity, and respect. His processes are a constant dialogue between past and innovation: patience, fermentation, intuition, risk, and devotion.

But his impact goes beyond the cup. José opens his doors to teach, share, and inspire. He believes knowledge must flow like a river, and through this generosity he encourages other producers to embrace specialty coffee and uplift the future of Nariño.
